Aggressive and yet flexible
Technical brushes with stranded wire are the perfect combination of aggressive brushing effect and flexibility With this special wire construction, multiple corrugated wires are twisted together. This means they work effectively and aggressively like a knotted brush and at the same time flexibly like a crimped brush, achieving an excellent surface finish with an increased tool life.
Brushes with stranded wire are particularly robust and resistant and are therefore ideal for demanding tasks.
Advantages:
- More aggressive brushing effect compared to conventional crimped brushes due to the special wire arrangement that gives the wires extra grip.
- Perfect for complex geometries and hard-to-reach areas, as the stranded wire is very flexible due to the large number of small wires
- Ideally suite to demanding tasks due to the durability and high resilience of the individual wires.
The different filament materials
Steel wire (LIT ST)
- PFERD TOOLS special wire with high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength.
- Guarantees a long tool life, even for extreme brushing applications.
- Temperature resistance: up to 300 °C
Brass-plated steel wire (LIT STM)
- PFERD TOOLS special wire with high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength.
- Guarantees a long tool life, even for extreme brushing applications.
- Temperature resistance: up to 300 °C
Stainless steel wire (LIT INOX)
- Wire quality 1.4310 (V2A): Rust-resistant; leaves no corrosive residue on the workpiece.
- In comparison to steel wire, it should be used at the lowest possible speeds.
- PFERD TOOLS brushes with INOX filament are generally degreased.
- Temperature resistance: up to 450 °C
